Job summary

Zoro.com is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Data and Machine Learning Platform team. You will design and develop scalable tools and systems enabling data ingestion, sharing, and usage across the organization, supporting data pipelines and ML workflows.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and adaptability, helping partners leverage data for faster, data-driven decisions and business growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Python with clean, well-documented code.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and version control practices.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation for peers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, build, and maintenance of scalable, self-service data tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with partner needs.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure platform reliability.
• Improve platform infrastructure for scalability and ease of adoption.
• Research and integrate new tools to drive platform performance.
• Create and update technical docs and user guides for users.
