Job summary

People Force Consulting Inc. seeks a Data Migration Lead for Data Warehouse and Reporting, with about 12 years of experience, to work remotely. You will own the design, development, and testing of migration efforts across DW and reporting platforms and mentor junior engineers.

You will define migration strategy, data mappings, and validation frameworks, and collaborate with BI and engineering teams to drive timely, accurate deliveries while identifying risks and maintaining thorough runbooks.

Qualifications

• Strong, well-rounded understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, ETL/ELT design).
• Significant experience in data warehousing, incl. tech lead roles.
• Proven track record managing end-to-end SDLC for DW/reporting projects.
• Hands-on ETL development and reporting experience.
• Strong familiarity with data migration projects and methodologies.
• Strong SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning, data validation).
• Experience building POCs for report and log analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder communication to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Educational Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.

Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Mandatory skills

• Strong, well-rounded understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, ETL/ELT design)


• Significant years of experience working in data warehousing, including time spent in a tech lead role


• Proven track record managing end-to-end SDLC for DW/reporting projects


• Hands-on experience in ETL development and reporting


• Strong familiarity with data migration projects and methodologies


• Strong hands-on SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning, data validation)


• Experience building POCs for report and log analysis


• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability


• Self-starter who can run projects independently with a data-driven mindset


• Excellent stakeholder communication skills - able to translate technical details for non-technical audiences and manage expectations across teams

Good to have skills:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.)


• Prior experience leading migration projects in a lead/ownership capacity.


• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
