Job summary

ThinkTek LLC is seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Migration Lead to drive enterprise data migration, architecture, integration, and engineering initiatives. You will develop migration strategies, define future-state data models, ensure data quality, and lead scalable transformation pipelines.

The role partners with technical teams, stakeholders, system owners, and external partners to ensure data security and alignment with enterprise standards and DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data migration, or related discipline.
• Experience developing enterprise data migration strategies and plans.
• Strong data modeling with conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, data lakes, APIs, and modern data architectures.
• Experience with data profiling, quality, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Understanding of DoD or federal security and architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Data Migration Plan with strategy, sequencing, risks, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
• Document and maintain As-Is/To-Be data models including metadata.
• Analyze legacy data sources and define source-to-target mappings.
• Identify data dependencies and transformation requirements across migration lifecycle.
• Propose data quality rules and support profiling, cleansing and remediation.
• Ensure data architectures comply with enterprise standards and security requirements.
• Design scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation and loading.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build interfaces and data synchronization pipelines.
