The Division of Disease Control aims to protect NYC residents by managing infectious diseases through surveillance, treatment, and prevention. The NYC Public Health Laboratory (PHL) is one of the largest local public health labs in the U.S., providing clinical and environmental testing to support public health initiatives.
Reporting to the Chiefs of Bioinformatics and Data units, and collaborating with bioinformatics and data analysts, your role will focus on data management within and outside the Bureau. You will engage with your manager to understand data needs, participate in data standards communities, and develop solutions for data organization, storage, retrieval, and analysis, including pathogen genomics data.
