The University of Michigan is seeking a Data Manager for the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI) in Ann Arbor. This part-time, 20-hour-per-week role coordinates, manages, and reports on program data to support student success initiatives.
You will work with staff, ITS, and evaluators to maintain Salesforce/CRM and other data systems, create reports and dashboards, and help translate operational needs into efficient data workflows that improve program outcomes.
The Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI) supports and celebrates students' unique experiences, backgrounds, communities, and identities. Through a variety of programs, events, and campus-wide collaborations, we provide holistic support to help students achieve their academic goals while developing the skills and perspectives necessary for success in college and beyond. These initiatives support U-M's ongoing commitment to nurturing an intellectually and culturally diverse campus. We accomplish this through direct student service delivery. These services include success coaching, peer mentorship, student organization advising, student leadership development, and grant funding for student organizations and programs. The grant funding promotes academic and multicultural programming.
OAMI leads important university-wide multicultural programs. These programs include the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Symposium and the Native American Student Association Powwow. They also provide gateway services for first-generation and DACA/undocumented students. Additionally, they coordinate eight annual cultural graduation celebration ceremonies.
The Data Manager is a part-time role that serves as the primary point of coordination, management, reporting, and systems support for the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI) SuccessConnect program. You will support student success initiatives by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and use of program data that informs operations, data flow, assessment, and planning.
The Data Manager works with program staff, ITS administrators, and the Senior Research and Evaluation Strategist. The Data Manager supports data collection processes, reports, and tracking systems. The Data Manager conducts the use of Salesforce/CRM and database platforms. The Data Manager assists staff in identifying data needs that enhance program implementation, student engagement, and continuous improvement. You will promote communication between program operations, data coordination, and data systems, helping translate operational needs into efficient processes that improve workflow, communication, and program outcomes. You will report to the Associate Director of OAMI. You will work a hybrid role in Ann Arbor.
This position is a 20 hour a week 6-month term limited position.
