The position leverages Azure Synapse, Microsoft Purview, and PowerBI, with focus on data modeling, visualization, and scalable data solutions across IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business/operations analysis or related field with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Public university setting experience is a plus; knowledge of data governance, security, and metadata management improves outcomes.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with data architects, engineers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and engineers to design, test, and support data solutions using PowerBI and Fabric.
• Support data engineering, DevOps, and dependency management with testing and automation.
• Promote data literacy through training, templates, and visualization best practices.
• Ensure data governance, security, and data catalog integrity across projects.
• Provide guidance to client analysts and maintain documentation and metadata assets.
