Job summary

Wonderschool in San Francisco seeks a Data Lead to build the data foundation for the company’s commercial product, government platform, and AI coaching agents. You will own data models, pipelines, and governance, writing SQL and dbt models daily.

You will work hands-on in a small team, collaborating directly with the CEO, with in-person work at Rincon Hill. Prior govtech/regulated env experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping data work in a regulated environment.
• Strong SQL and data pipeline skills.
• Proficient with entity resolution and deduplication.

Responsibilities

• Build canonical data model for providers, sites, children, and families.
• Structure data for AI agents with entity tables and briefs.
• Own data delivery for state government platform and Data Hub sync.
• Lead identity resolution and deduplication across legacy state systems.
• Define and document business metrics for self-serve use.
• Set data quality, monitoring, lineage, and governance.
