Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an intelligence analyst to collect, analyze, and enrich data on economic statecraft, focusing on Chinese- and English-language sources. You will apply structured analytic techniques and evaluate AI outputs to deliver well-supported risk intelligence.

Collaboration with engineering and product teams will drive automation and data quality. The role requires 1–2 years in intelligence analysis, strong written communication, and willingness to work near South Jordan, UT or Tysons

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international affairs, data science, computer science, intelligence studies, Chinese language, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 1–2 years of experience in intelligence analysis, quality assurance, data evaluation, or a related analytical field
• Chinese-language proficiency sufficient to independently research, evaluate, and interpret Chinese-language sources for intelligence analysis
• Working knowledge of PRC economic statecraft, including relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures and their implications for intelligence analysis and data accuracy
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, including AI-native development environments, agentic tools, or large language model interfaces, to support analytical or technical workflows
• Demonstrated experience applying structured analytic techniques, such as Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH) and key assumptions checks

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, enrich, and integrate data to help clients understand economic statecraft risks
• Identify, evaluate, validate, and integrate Chinese- and English-language data sources
• Apply Chinese-language expertise and knowledge of PRC economic statecraft to identify relevant actors, relationships, activities, and risk indicators
• Develop working knowledge of Strider’s data holdings, ontology, risk methodology, and AI agent architecture
• Apply intelligence production standards to develop accurate, well-supported risk intelligence
• Evaluate AI-generated intelligence outputs for accuracy, completeness, relevance, and methodological adherence
• Develop and use AI-enabled tools and workflows for research, data enrichment, intelligence production, and analytical quality
• Apply structured analytic techniques to test assumptions and evaluate competing explanations
• Identify opportunities to improve data sources, analytical methods, workflows, and product performance
• Develop or prototype solutions within the scope of the role
• Partner with Intelligence, Engineering, and Product teams to drive automation and product development
• Support broader Intelligence organization needs and share knowledge with teammates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international affairs, data science, computer science, intelligence studies, Chinese language, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 1–2 years of experience in intelligence analysis, quality assurance, data evaluation, or a related analytical field
• Relevant coursework, internships, or service experience may substitute for direct professional experience
• Chinese-language proficiency sufficient to independently research, evaluate, and interpret Chinese-language sources for intelligence analysis
• Working knowledge of PRC economic statecraft, including relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures and their implications for intelligence analysis and data accuracy
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, including AI-native development environments, agentic tools, or large language model interfaces, to support analytical or technical workflows
• Demonstrated experience applying structured analytic techniques, such as Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH) and key assumptions checks
• Ability to independently evaluate detailed information using established methodologies while exercising judgment when requirements or available information are ambiguous
• Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to document analytical findings for technical and non-technical audiences and produce work requiring limited substantive review
• Intellectually ambitious, unafraid of ambiguity, and a desire to collaborate on something meaningful
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work in or relocate to commutable distance from the South Jordan, UT or Tysons Corner, VA offices
