JOB SUMMARY:

The Data Integrity / BI & Analytics Specialist owns the accuracy, integrity, and control of data across TAM’s property management systems. This role exists first and foremost to ensure our data is correct — serving as the subject-matter expert responsible for designing the controls and standards that keep data accurate and prevent errors at the source, rather than catching them after the fact.

On that trusted, controlled foundation, a central mandate of this role is to build and own TAM’s centralized company dashboard: an automated, daily-refreshing source of truth for the KPIs leadership uses to run the business, replacing today’s manual, people-pulling-reports process.

The ideal candidate brings a genuine data and analytics background, deep expertise in data governance and system controls, strong data visualization and BI skills, hands‑on experience with AI tooling (specifically Claude), and modern data pipelines, along with the problem‑solving depth to identify root causes of systemic data issues rather than treating symptoms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Data Integrity & Accuracy
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert on data integrity, ensuring data across Entrata and integrated products is accurate, complete, and trustworthy at all times.
  • Own portfolio‑wide data quality, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies before they impact operations, reporting, or compliance.
  • Perform ongoing reconciliations across systems and integrations, and drive correction of root causes, not just symptoms.
  • Build and maintain data validation processes, exception reports, and audit routines that catch issues early and confirm the data can be trusted on demand.
  • Investigate systemic data issues, determine root cause, and design scalable, permanent fixes so the same problem cannot recur.
  • Partner with Systems leadership to build controls that keep data accurate and protect the integrity of the system at the source.
Business Intelligence, Dashboards & Data Visualization
  • Design, build, and own TAM’s centralized company dashboard — a single, automated source of truth for the KPIs leadership uses to run the business.
  • Move the company off manual report‑pulling: stand up an automated pipeline (data warehouse) that consolidates data from Entrata and integrated products and refreshes daily, so the dashboard is always current without anyone pulling reports by hand.
  • Integrate AI tooling (Claude) into the reporting and data pipeline to automate analysis, surface exceptions, and generate daily summaries and scorecards.
  • Create clear, compelling data visualizations and role‑based dashboards (executive, VPO, RPM) that make performance and priorities obvious at a glance.
  • Translate business questions into data analysis and clear, decision‑ready reporting, and build KPI scorecards that direct action rather than just display numbers.
  • Continuously improve reporting automation to reduce manual effort across the company and support leadership with ad hoc analysis and special projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ABILITIES:
  • Genuine data and analytics skill set, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with AI tools, specifically Claude, is required. This role uses AI daily to build reporting, automate analysis, and drive the dashboard pipeline, and the person must know how to direct and validate AI output, not blindly trust it.
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations in a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) required.
  • Experience with data warehousing and building automated data pipelines (e.g., connecting source systems to a warehouse with scheduled refreshes) strongly preferred.
  • Strong SQL or comparable data‑query capability required.
  • Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, Power Query, complex modeling).
  • Deep understanding of data governance and system‑integrity best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to find root causes rather than treat symptoms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate data into clear recommendations.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a data, analytics, information systems, finance, or related quantitative field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in a data analytics, business intelligence, data integrity, or systems administration role.
  • Entrata experience strongly preferred; experience with a major PMS (Yardi, RealPage) considered.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing (LIHTC, HUD, project‑based subsidy) a plus given the portfolio’s significant affordable/EL component.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
  • Ability to work from multiple locations.
  • Ability to perform other duties as required.

The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. TAM Residential reserves the right to assign or reassign duties as needed to meet business needs.

BENEFITS:

Associates who are regularly scheduled for and work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for company-sponsored benefits the 1st day of the month, following completion of 30 continuous days of employment. Benefits offered include medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as 401K and life insurance. Regular, full-time associates are eligible to accrue paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
