Data Compliance and Integration Engineer

Our Fortune 15 Healthcare client is looking for a dynamic Data Compliance and Integration Engineer to join their team! This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact healthcare projects while ensuring data compliance and integration across systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing compliance requirements in healthcare, with a strong focus on CMS Interoperability and FHIR Implementation Guides and Standards. You’ll engage with business and data stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure seamless integration. As a Data Compliance and Integration Engineer, you will work on complex and high-priority assignments, analyzing and designing application/system specifications that address business needs. You will formulate system scope and objectives based on user needs, prepare detailed specifications, and ensure that these systems meet rigorous quality standards. Your work will involve troubleshooting master data management and system integrity issues while providing critical support during testing and validation phases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business, compliance, and IT stakeholders, to define roadmaps and prioritize deliverables. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can handle competing priorities, and is adept at solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement healthcare compliance requirements with a focus on FHIR and CMS Interoperability standards.
  • Engage business and data stakeholders to resolve questions, issues, and clarify requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and prepare system specifications based on user needs.
  • Facilitate data-related investigations, track lineage, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute end-to-end integration and data quality validations.
  • Provide support in production issue resolution, ensuring system integrity.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in data analysis, technical requirements gathering, business analysis, and documentation.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Teradata (Vantage) or any RDBMS system/ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of FHIR, JSON file structures, and CMS Interoperability.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, relational and non-relational databases, and query optimization.
  • Solid experience with data integration techniques (Streaming, Batch, Error Handling, Replay).
  • AWS experience with Glue, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Redshift, and Elasticsearch.
  • API testing and production issue resolution expertise.
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare industry and with payer solutions.
