This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Integration Consultant based in the United States.

As a Data Integration Consultant, you will play a key role in connecting customer systems and ensuring seamless, accurate data exchange across a range of software platforms. You will configure, maintain, and validate data integrations, translating complex source data into reliable structures that support customer business needs. Working at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Implementation, you will help deliver successful onboarding experiences and maintain existing integrations as customer requirements evolve. You will leverage your expertise in JSON, APIs, data transformation, and validation to troubleshoot issues and improve integration processes. You will also contribute to technical documentation, internal training, and the development of AI-assisted workflows that increase operational efficiency. Accountabilities

• Review source-system documentation, sample JSON payloads, and available datasets to understand data structures, objects, properties, identifiers, relationships, customizations, and technical limitations.
• Translate customer and business requirements into accurate source-to-target data mappings, clarifying technical specifications with project leads and relevant stakeholders.
• Configure data mappings through the integration platform, including direct field mappings, transformations, formulas, conditional logic, filters, and literal values.
• Support standard and custom objects across source and destination systems, including Association Management Systems (AMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, third-party applications, and internal products.
• Apply and maintain mappings for new customer onboarding, data migration, conversion projects, and ongoing integration requirements.
• Execute mapping tests and validate integration results by comparing source and destination data, checking record counts, field values, relationships, and expected business outcomes.
• Investigate missing, duplicated, rejected, or incorrectly transformed records, identify configuration issues, document findings, and elevate connector or platform defects with clear, reproducible examples.
• Maintain and update existing configurations as customers modify their systems, data models, custom fields, or business rules.
• Identify technical capabilities required for new third-party systems and integration use cases, defining potential platform, API, and authentication enhancements in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including mapping specifications, configuration records, test evidence, supported use cases, known limitations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Develop reusable mapping templates and validation processes to improve consistency, reduce repetitive work, and increase implementation efficiency.
• Support Integration Services, onboarding, and customer support teams through technical documentation, training, and guidance, enabling them to manage routine configurations and validations independently.
• Provide technical escalation support for complex mappings, exceptions, and integration challenges, working with customer implementation and support teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with project leads and stakeholders by communicating technical progress, effort estimates, dependencies, findings, and potential delivery risks.
• Participate in customer and vendor discussions when technical clarification is required, communicating integration requirements and solutions effectively through written and verbal channels.
• Leverage approved AI tools to improve data mapping, analysis, validation, and documentation processes while helping develop reusable AI capabilities and supporting agent-assisted, MCP-enabled, and self-service workflows.
• Verify AI-generated outputs and ensure all tools and processes comply with established requirements for data accuracy, security, and sensitive information.
• Recommend improvements to interfaces, reporting capabilities, and internal utilities that enhance mapping oversight and exception management, including developing prototypes through approved AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
• Follow established company policies and procedures and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in data conversion, data migration, technical implementation, integration configuration, or a related position involving data mapping, transformation, and validation.
• Strong understanding of structured data and JSON, including objects, properties, identifiers, relationships, and custom fields, with the ability to translate business requirements into accurate technical mappings.
• Practical knowledge of data transformation techniques, formulas, conditional logic, filters, and validation processes.
• Ability to quickly learn and independently operate data integration and mapping platforms, troubleshoot configuration issues, and follow established implementation practices.
• Working proficiency in SQL and API testing, with the ability to inspect source data, analyze destination results, perform data checks, and support technical investigations.
• Understanding of SaaS integrations, APIs, authentication methods, and data synchronization principles, with the ability to identify technical limitations and communicate enhancement requirements to Engineering teams.
• Experience maintaining customer-specific configurations and troubleshooting data issues across connected software systems. Previous SaaS industry experience is preferred.
• Experience implementing or supporting Association Management Systems (AMS) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with associations, their operational processes, membership requirements, and software ecosystems is considered an advantage.
• Basic scripting, software development experience, or the ability to read and understand code is beneficial, although independent development of production integrations is not required.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and productivity tools such as Cursor and Replit is a plus.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), reusable AI skills, and tools for building internal reports or utilities is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer configurations, follow priorities, maintain clear documentation, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts, mapping decisions, findings, and outstanding issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Project Management, Implementation, and Customer Support teams.
• A proactive and accountable approach to work, with the ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, work independently, and elevate potential issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly and effectively while independently verifying results and complying with data security and confidentiality requirements.
