Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a data analytics professional to support reserving decisions and turn complex data into clear, trusted insights. You will build dashboards and datasets, improving access to consistent data and surfacing trends for analysis.

You will collaborate with Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics teams to deliver practical, data-driven decisions and self-service tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, analytics, actuarial, finance, or a related insurance or reinsurance role.
• Experience helping to design, improve, or deliver data and analytics solutions for business users.
• A deep understanding of insurance or reinsurance data, including how claims, policy, exposure, premium, underwriting, finance, and actuarial information can be used to support analysis.
• The ability to lead through influence, work with technical teams, and bring people together around a shared outcome.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to make complex data and analysis clear, practical, and actionable.
• Experience creating dashboards, datasets, visualizations, or self-service tools that help business users understand performance, trends, and drivers.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, and an interest in applying them to real business problems in a practical and responsible way.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
