Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a data analytics professional to maintain databases, develop documentation, and deliver customized reporting solutions for insurance data. The role requires analyzing large data sets, creating dashboards, and presenting insights to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data analytics, proficiency with Cognos, Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, and familiarity with ETL processes. Knowledge of industry products will be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or a related field
• Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred
• Completion of or continuing progress toward a certification in area of expertise preferred
• Proficiency in analyzing data sets and identifying patterns, trends, and insights
• Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools such as Cognos, Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI
• Familiarity with scripting languages
• Knowledge of data sources, content, and structure to assess data quality
• General knowledge of ETL processes
• Understanding of industry products and coverages
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update databases for organized and accessible reporting data
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries
• Track and document state documents
• Track and process adjuster renewal licenses
• Complete internal claim audits as needed
• Perform regular data audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Collaborate with departments to understand data reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
• Gather, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data from multiple sources
• Develop, design, and generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations
• Analyze data trends and patterns to identify improvement opportunities and inform strategic decisions
• Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements for data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned
