Job summary

McKesson, a Fortune 10 health care company, seeks a Software Engineer to join the Data Insights team in Irving, TX on a hybrid basis, two days on-site weekly. You’ll build scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Matillion, and Azure to power reporting and analytics across the organization.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products with strong data modeling and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience with typically 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related field.
• Strong SQL development, complex queries, transformations, joins, performance optimization.
• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience using Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable data warehouse solutions and data pipelines with Snowflake/Matillion.
• Develop SQL-based transformations, data models, and integrations for reporting and BI.
• Integrate data from Oracle and enterprise systems while ensuring data quality.
• Optimize data warehouse performance through query tuning and architecture.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and production data issues to support operations.
• Support development practices including source control, CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver documented data solutions.
