Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Analyst to research, recommend, implement and oversee analytics solutions that drive efficiency and profitability.

You will perform data mining, build and update Power BI reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to align information systems with company objectives. A four-year degree and 2–4 years of related experience are expected, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, GitHub, Power BI, SQL Server, or comparable tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of databases and data processes.
• Strong reporting and documenting implementations and solutions.
• Ability to work independently and understand business practices.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills.
• Report writing skills.
• Ability to deliver effective presentations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform data mining and independent research to support Analytics.
• Strategize with stakeholders to align information systems with objectives.
• Assist with recurring and ad hoc reporting to support initiatives.
• Use SQL to analyze issues and opportunities for efficiency.
• Update Excel and Power BI reports to monitor key initiatives.
• Communicate suggested changes to improve team performance.
• Contribute to training materials and release notes for analytics.
• Conduct business professionally to increase goodwill and profit.
• Overnight travel as needed.
