Job summary

TikTok is seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure SRE to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of core data services powering our products. You will operate in a massive distributed environment built with Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, and Message Queue, focusing on resilience and performance rather than feature delivery.

As a production guardian, you will handle incident response, change control, automation, and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an SRE, DevOps, Systems Administration, or similar role.
• Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Incident response and triage: Serve as a first responder for production alerts and incidents.
• Operational excellence and change management: Deployments, configuration changes, and maintenance following change control processes.
• Iterative automation and AI augmentation: Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and AI Agents to reduce toil.
• Observability and monitoring: Improve dashboards, tune alert thresholds, and instrument systems for diagnosis.
• Data Center and AI Infrastructure: Support daily operations and maintenance of data center environments and AI infrastructure.
