Job summary

Speechify is seeking a skilled Software Engineer for its Data team to own data collection for model training. You will build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale by connecting infrastructure, engineering, and research to power next-generation AI.

You will collaborate with scientists and leadership to shape the dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products, operating cloud ingestion pipelines on GCP with Terraform and driving scalable data workflows to reduce cost and increase quality.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Docker and IaC concepts; experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP).
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
