Job summary

Tensor is seeking a software engineer for the Data Infrastructure team in the Developer Experience group, based in San Jose, CA. You will design, develop, deploy and maintain data processing and evaluation infrastructure powering the AV software stack.

The role emphasizes reliability, low latency and scalable systems, collaborating across engineering to define requirements and build new features with strong Java expertise. BS/MS in CS required.

Qualifications

• A BS/MS in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in data processing and analysis infra, e.g. Kafka/Flink/Spark/Iceberg/Trino/Superset/etc.
• High proficiency in Java.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain infrastructure for data processing, data analysis and evaluation of the autonomous driving system.
• Optimize the system for usability, reliability, low latency, high efficiency, etc.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to collect requirements to develop new features and build in your own technical insights of data processing and analysis.
