Job summary

Clutch Canada is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Data AI team. In this role, you will support data collection for model training by finding new audio data sources and extending cloud infrastructure, specifically on GCP. Ideal candidates should have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with over 5 years of experience, proficiency in bash/Python, and Docker. The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000–$200,000, bonus, and equity with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Experience with large‑scale data processing workflows is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Find new sources of audio data for ingestion.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with Scientists on data quality.
• Craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap.

Skills

Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments

Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts

Experience with web crawlers

Strong communication skills

Education

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
