Addepar embraces a global flexible workforce model with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, Chicago, London, Edinburgh, Pune and Dubai.

The Role

The Role In this role, you will be responsible for the Data Import Tool. This tool is the primary way clients and partners push data into Addepar. Clients work in a spreadsheet to manage the data, and then upload it to Addepar via the import Excel add-in. Data imports include transactions, positions, attributes, and even firm administrative tasks like creating users and groups. You will also play a supporting role in the development and roll out of the new notifications workflow, the new file management center and the workflow control pane.

What You’ll Do
  • Possess a deep understanding of the import tool in terms of its users, business value, technical landscape, and how it relates to other areas of the larger Addepar system.
  • Assist the lead product manager with researching, defining and scoping new functionality, including producing easy to understand examples to assist developers.
  • Run last-resort support for import tool questions and issues coming in from various go-to-market and support teams internally. Ensure understanding and drive updates to product content to help avoid the same issues being raised multiple times.
  • Perform correctness testing on new import tool enhancements, including thorough validation of different combinations of import options and layering intersecting functionality.
Who You Are
  • 3+ years of product management experience or relevant domain-specific experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with vendors, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to partner with engineering to define the functional and technical implementation to solve a business problem. This includes understanding of high level data development concepts, and the ability to write and review technical requirements documents
  • Proven ability to plan, design, and manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Track record of effective problem solving abilities, self-motivation to take on responsibility, and a strong team-player mentality
  • Passion for the finance and technology space
  • Experience working with financial data and concepts relevant to Addepar’s clients and products strongly preferred, but not required for consideration
