Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to strengthen governance across data quality, metadata, and lifecycle management within Medicare Advantage operations. You will partner with data stewards, governance leaders, and engineering teams to ensure accurate data assets and reliable processes.

In this individual contributor role, you will analyze data quality issues, support metadata documentation, and generate regular governance reports and dashboards to inform stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in data analysis, data governance, data quality management, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working with both business and technical stakeholders on data-related challenges
• Working knowledge of data quality, metadata, and documentation practices in an enterprise environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze data issues and perform root-cause analysis across enterprise systems
• Support data quality lifecycle, define rules and monitor thresholds
• Maintain and update data glossary, metadata catalog, and lineage documentation
• Track governance issues and produce status reports and dashboards
• Validate data across integration, transformation, and enrichment processes
• Support HIPAA, CMS, and Medicare Advantage data compliance and audit readiness
