Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks a Senior Product Owner - Data Governance to lead governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality across data products supporting regulatory reporting. You will bridge business requirements and technical teams, defining CDAs and CDEs and embedding controls throughout the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have extensive data governance experience, strong SQL/data platform knowledge, and the ability to operate in an agile, regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with related work experience.
• Experience supporting financial services regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Experience implementing governance and management capabilities at scale.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata, lineage, and control concepts.
• Ability to interact with and influence across organizational levels; agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define and document Critical Data Standard requirements for new data products.
• Collaborate with governance, engineering, architecture, risk, and product teams.
• Support governance readiness for Category III reporting initiatives and related assets.
• Develop lifecycle governance for data products including SLAs and monitoring.
• Define data quality controls, monitoring, and remediation processes.
• Define end-to-end data lineage and metadata capture for regulatory traceability.
