Job summary

Winston Taylor LLP seeks a Data Governance Product Manager to own the taxonomy, data lifecycle, and governance of enterprise data and related products. You will partner with administration, practice areas, attorneys, and data specialists to translate business and legal requirements into governed data structures, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 6+ years product management and business analysis experience in a professional services environment required.
• 6+ years stakeholder engagement and management preferred.
• Must live within a commutable distance to a local office and be willing to come into the office 3-4 days per week.
• Demonstrated ability to define and prioritize product backlogs translating business needs into actionable user stories and requirements.
• Technical fluency across software development disciplines sufficient to partner effectively with engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of software and application architecture, enabling confident product roadmap planning and meaningful dialogue with solution architects.
• Strong grasp of software quality assurance standards, ensuring acceptance criteria and definition-of-done align with quality benchmarks across the product lifecycle.
• Detail-oriented and analytical thinker, capable of breaking down complex problems into well-scoped increments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to align executives, stakeholders, and teams around a shared product vision.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into governed data solutions aligned with governance principles and SDLC/Aggregate delivery practices.
• Own product roadmap and backlog alignment to enterprise information strategy and architecture standards.
• Serve as governance liaison between business, legal, and technical partners to align data definitions and guidelines.
• Drive governance standards and data lifecycle management across data domains.
• Ensure compliant and scalable data structures, workflows, and system behaviors within an iterative delivery model.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with developers, architects, and vendors for governance initiatives.
• Maintain process discipline aligning with IS Service Management and Project Management processes.
• Communicate and document governance decisions with clear data definitions and system designs.
