Job summary

Winston Taylor LLP is seeking a Data Governance Product Manager to own the taxonomy, data lifecycle, and governance across the firm. You will define and align data definitions with practice areas, leadership, and technical partners to meet firm-wide needs.

You will partner with lawyers, Knowledge Management, and IT to elicit requirements, translate them into governed data structures, and drive delivery within an iterative SDLC and Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years in product management and business analysis in a professional services environment.
• 6+ years of stakeholder engagement and management experience.
• Willingness to come into the office 3-4 days per week within commuting distance.
• Ability to define and prioritize product backlogs translating business needs into actionable user stories.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into governed data solutions aligned with governance principles.
• Own product roadmap and backlog aligned with enterprise information strategy and standards.
• Serve as governance liaison between business, legal, and technical teams.
• Drive governance practices including taxonomy alignment and data quality.
• Oversee compliant, scalable data structures and delivery within an iterative SDLC.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with developers, architects, and vendors.
• Maintain process discipline by adhering to IS Service Management and PM processes.
• Document data definitions, governance standards, requirements, and system designs.
