Job summary

Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team seeks a Data Governance Manager to lead a team of Data Governance and Data Quality Analysts. You will drive enterprise data standards, monitor data quality, and partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality data across divisions.

Based on the role, you will own the end-to-end data governance lifecycle, implement metadata practices, and advance data catalog initiatives in a fully on-site capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field; equivalent combination may be considered.
• 6+ years of professional experience in data management, data governance, or data quality analysis.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team mentorship experience.
• Strong governance and quality knowledge across data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle processes.
• Experience establishing data quality metrics, remediation, and root-cause analysis.
• Analytical and technical acumen with familiarity in SQL and data systems; knowledge of data catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to translate data issues into business terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Governance Analysts and Data Quality Analysts.
• Foster a culture of data stewardship across lines of business with training and best practices.
• Own end-to-end Data Quality program across domains, including rule development, testing, and monitoring.
• Establish and report data quality metrics; identify anomalies and drive remediation.
• Ensure governance and quality processes meet standards, controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Support rollout and continuous improvement of the corporate data governance framework.
• Plan and execute data governance initiatives with cross-functional coordination.
• Evaluate tools and templates for cataloging, lineage tracking, metadata management, and profiling.
• Collaborate with managers and technical teams to align governance with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to refine procedures, standards, and workflows.
• Assist leadership in tracking deliverables and reporting.
