Job summary

Tredence, a data analytics firm, seeks a Data Governance Senior Architect to lead governance in retail, designing roadmaps, models, MDM, and metadata management, and to implement Microsoft Purview for lineage and compliance at scale.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to align governance, develop automation in Python and SQL, and mentor teams while staying ahead of governance trends. This is an on-site role in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of industry experience with data governance in retail.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Expertise in data governance roadmaps, data modeling, MDM, metadata management, and Purview.
• Hands-on Purview experience for governance and compliance.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for automation and data workflows.
• Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders on governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance roadmap and blueprint tailored to retail needs.
• Architect data models, data quality frameworks, and MDM strategies.
• Manage metadata workflows and deploy Purview for lineage and cataloging.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to align governance.
• Develop scalable governance automation in Python and SQL.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data teams.
• Evaluate new technologies to evolve governance frameworks.
