Overview
We are seeking to fill the role of Data Governance Analyst. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

1. Provide project and day-to-day support to LoanCare’s Enterprise Data Governance organization.
2. Configure commercial scanning software to discover data assets and capture technical metadata.
3. Configure commercial scanning software to analyze and classify data assets per LoanCare standards.
4. Configure commercial scanning software to discover security roles and permissions associated with LoanCare data assets.
5. Schedule scanning processes aligned with policies, ERM guidance, and change control to maintain data inventory.
6. Analyze classification outputs to identify exceptions, gaps, or false positives and improve rules.
7. Create automated procedures for documenting, identifying, collecting, and analyzing text data elements.
8. Prepare management reports on scanning findings and manage gap remediation.
9. Diagnose and resolve scanning software problems, including error research and resolution.
10. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required.
3. 4+ years in information security, IT risk management, or security audit.
4. 1+ year supporting legal and regulatory compliance through data analysis.
5. 1+ year operational experience with data scanning, identification, and classification solutions.
6. Strong customer service and training skills.
7. Ability to identify exceptions, analyze processes, and recommend improvements.
8. Self-educate on new systems, software, and regulations.
9. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
10. Effective communicator in writing and verbally.
11. Maintain confidentiality.

Desired Skills

• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
