Apptad Inc in Phoenix, AZ (hybrid) seeks a Data Governance Analyst II to drive enterprise governance across metadata, catalogs, and data quality. You will partner with data owners, stewards, and IT to maintain auditable records and support policy administration.

Duration: 12+ Months
Performs enterprise data governance activities across documented workflows, stewardship support, policy and standards administration, metadata and catalog maintenance, critical data element tracking, reference data management, and data quality coordination. Works across assigned domains to deliver governance services, resolve routine issues, and support established governance processes. Partners with data owners, data stewards, business partners, and technical teams by applying established procedures and maintaining reliable, auditable records.
Supports data owners and stewards by facilitating requests through established governance processes.
Assists with maintaining inventories of policies, standards, and control evidence, and documents gaps between documented standards and observed practice.
Documents and maintains records for governance decisions, approvals, reviews, and remediation activities.
Develops and updates business terms, metadata, classifications, and lineage references.
Supports maintenance of critical data element records, scoring evidence, and business-term relationships.
Performs validation activities for reference datasets, logs change requests, and verifies required approvals.
Facilitates routine Data Quality issue submissions and tracks routing and status.
Performs approved data profiling activities and updates standard rules, thresholds, and scorecards as directed.
Performs approved governance workflows and updates assigned content.
Conducts testing of routine workflow or configuration changes and documents results.
Working knowledge of data governance and Data Quality practices, with experience using Informatica CDGC and CDQ to maintain glossary, catalog, lineage, critical data element, and quality assets.
Working knowledge of DCAM and/or DAMA-DMBOK, data ownership and stewardship models, critical data elements, reference data, policy administration, auditability, and regulatory expectations.
Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Demonstrated working knowledge of AI and Microsoft Copilot, including effective use to accelerate analysis, development, documentation, and communication while validating outputs for accuracy, security, and appropriateness.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, documentation, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills appropriate to the role level.
Demonstrated ability to translate governance policy into practical workflows, ownership expectations, metadata, controls, evidence, issue management, and measurable operating outcomes.
Strong facilitation, requirements gathering, stakeholder influence, conflict resolution, and written policy or standards-development skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently clarify requirements, analyse complex problems, document decisions, test work, and communicate technical findings to business and technical partners.
Experience working in iterative or Agile delivery environments, managing competing priorities, and contributing reusable documentation, standards, or assets.
Minimum two years of experience in data, analytics, governance, documentation, operations, or a related field, required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Degree in information management, data or analytics, business, or a related field, preferred.
