Job summary

Dow is seeking a Data Governance Analyst-style Business Process Specialist stationed in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. The role focuses on executing governance processes, maintaining metadata, and ensuring data quality across business domains.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data usability and governance standards. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience, 2+ years in data governance or related fields, and strong analytical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 5 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of governance concepts, metadata, and data quality management.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to support data-related efforts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute established data governance processes, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support enterprise governance initiatives through governance activities and deliverables.
• Document business definitions, data ownership information, stewardship assignments, and data lineage.
• Populate and maintain enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Monitor data quality metrics, analyze results, and identify data issues.
• Partner with Data Governance Managers and subject matter experts to capture business knowledge and requirements.
