Job summary

PharmaEssentia USA is hiring a Manager, Data Foundations & Integration in Burlington, MA. Lead data ingestion, governance, and vendor-backed ETL pipelines into our data warehouse, ensuring high data quality for analytics, products, and AI applications.

You will own DCR and MDM processes, set data contracts, monitor pipeline reliability, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-moving, vendor-supported environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in data management, governance, data operations, or related role with enterprise scope.
• Experience leading DCR or data-change processes across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of MDM concepts and operating practices.
• Experience directing external vendors for data operations and delivery.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Fluency in SQL and data modeling; hands-on coding is not primary.
• Pharma/biotech commercial-data experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end data-ingestion lifecycle, onboarding, delivery cadence, validation, and handoff.
• Direct external vendors building and operating ETL pipelines into the data warehouse.
• Translate business needs into ingestion requirements, data contracts, and acceptance criteria.
• Review vendor designs, mappings, and plans for alignment with standards.
• Manage vendor delivery, SLAs, costs, and risk; escalate when necessary.
• Monitor data freshness and pipeline reliability; coordinate incident response.
• Establish ownership and handoffs among source systems, providers, and downstream teams.
• Own Data Correction Request (DCR) processes from intake to closure.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) across domains with survivorship and hierarchies.
• Drive process improvements and automation; document controls and metrics.
• Maintain data-governance standards including ownership, lineage, and privacy.
• Oversee Snowflake environment governance: access, monitoring, cost, platform changes.
• Partner with Data Product Engineering to meet downstream analytics needs.
• Maintain documentation on data sources, lineage, vendor responsibilities, and risks.
