Job summary

Americare Pharmacy Solutions in Cookeville, TN is hiring a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will process medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and ensure accurate entry and patient records to support senior living communities.

The ideal candidate has strong data entry and computer skills, attention to detail, and good communication with healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• PTCB certification or equivalent certification as applicable.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process prescription and medication orders accurately.
• Review incoming orders and patient information for completeness.
• Assist pharmacists with order entry and prescription processing.
• Maintain accurate patient, prescription and pharmacy records.
• Communicate with senior living and long-term care partners regarding medication orders, questions and updates.
• Provide responsive and professional customer service by phone and electronically.
• Assist with preparing, packaging and labeling medications when needed and under pharmacist supervision.
• Help identify missing or unclear information and escape questions appropriately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable HIPAA requirements.
• Work closely with pharmacists, technicians and other team members to keep orders moving efficiently.
• Learn and use pharmacy technology and systems provided by Americare

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician, you'll work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and help process medication orders while providing excellent service to the communities we support.
