Job summary

Young at Heart Pharmacy in Indiana is seeking a Data Entry Technician to join our growing team. You will ensure fast, accurate entry of medication orders to support our institutional and long-term care patients.

You will input customer and prescription data, follow policies, and collaborate with facilities to ensure right patient, facility, payor, physician, drug, strength, quantity, and SIG. An active Indiana pharmacy technician license and at least 1 year of data entry experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana pharmacy technician license required.
• Minimum 1 year of data entry experience in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in required training.
• Review and follow all applicable policies and procedures.
• Input customer and prescription data into the computer system.
• Ensure accuracy: right patient, right facility, right payor, right physician, right drug, right strength, right quantity, right SIG.
• Work directly with customers and/or customer facilities to enter accurate information.
• Ensure new and refill orders are entered before cut-off deadline.
• Document issues and suggestions using proper company policies and procedures.
• Complete other job-related tasks to support business operations when assigned on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• Active pharmacy technician license from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous data entry experience in pharmacy industry, minimum of 1 year.
