First Choice Urgent Care is seeking a Full Time Data Entry Specialist to join our on-site team. The role focuses on precise entry of patient and visit data in our EMR (Athena), supporting billing operations and claim processing in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Experience in medical billing and coding is a strong plus, with responsibilities spanning eligibility verification, AR workflows, and collaboration with the billing staff to ensure accurate, timely reimbursements while maintaining

• Proficient with multiple platforms for eligibility checks, claim submission, and insurance portal navigation.

• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team.

Growing Urgent Care Clinics seeking a Full Time Data Entry Specialist to join our TEAM!

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering patient and visit information with precision, supporting billing operations, and assisting with claim processing. Experience in medical billing and coding is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• -Accurately enter information into our EMR system (Athena)
• -Support billing operations including claim correction and documentation
• -Insurance eligibility and verification
• -Managing outstanding AR workflows, including both patient balances and insurance follow-up
• -Communicate with billing staff and insurance companies as needed
• -Provide additional administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations
• -Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality

Qualifications:

• -Prior experience in medical billing, coding or outstanding AR is highly preferred
• -Familiarity with all major payer types, including commercial, Medicare and Medicaid
• -Proficient in using multiple platforms for eligibility checks, claim submission, and insurance portal navigation
• -Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry
• -Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
