Job summary

Landpoint is seeking a motivated Land Surveyor to join our team. You will conduct land surveys, collect geographic data, and prepare detailed reports to support project planning and development.

The ideal candidate has a technical background, strong problem-solving skills, and can work independently or with a team. Travel to job sites is required; you will use advanced surveying technology and GIS tools to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure or certification as a Land Surveyor is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and drones.
  • Strong understanding of mapping software, GIS applications, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and legal land descriptions.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform land surveys to determine property boundaries, topographical features, and construction layouts.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect, analyze, and interpret geographic data.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions for clients and project teams.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure survey accuracy and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying.
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly to ensure precision and reliability.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members as needed.
  • Participate in site inspections and fieldwork, often in challenging outdoor environments.
