Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Support Staff Specialist (Data Entry Operator) to join our team and process electronic documents accurately in a centralized state agency setting.

This role requires careful attention to detail, the ability to work with scanning equipment, and consistent, high-quality data entry skills to support Medicaid and claims processes. Training provided; union position with standard state benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 months of full-time data entry or word processing experience.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Completion of an established data entry training course may substitute for up to three months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review documents to code into electronic claim folders using DCPS and EDCS.
• Image documents with high-speed scanning into electronic folders.
• Perform quality checks for legibility and correct page order; remove unnecessary pages.
• Ensure color documents are scanned in color.
• Assist with electronic queues for mis-uploaded documents from providers and others.
• Assist with uploading invoices to MER and CE queues for Accounts Payable.
