Job summary

Vanta Diagnostics, a CAP- and CLIA-certified national laboratory in Tampa, is seeking an overnight Data Entry Clerk to accurately input patient, physician, and billing data into the LIS. Hours are 10pm-6am or 4am-12pm, Monday–Friday.

You will maintain data integrity, meet QA standards, and support lab operations with careful data handling. Required are a high school diploma and experience in clerical/medical data processing, with familiarity in LIS/EMR systems and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret site descriptions, diagnoses, and related docs to categorize information in LIS.
• Determine and assign specimen topography and other lab data.
• Prepare and maintain required paperwork, reports, and supporting docs.
• Provide backup support for specimen receiving and other clerical tasks.
• Follow laboratory safety policies and regulatory requirements.

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering patient, physician, specimen, and billing information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to support timely and accurate laboratory operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret clinical information, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and compliance with laboratory procedures.

The hourly rate for the role is $18-$19/hour.
