Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC is seeking a Data Entry Operator to join our team on first shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm). The role involves entering patient results, printing daily worksheets, and using various lab systems to record results.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and strong data entry skills. Some laboratory experience is preferred, with attention to accuracy and detail in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Data entry or lab experience preferred (3+ months).
• Must have fast, accurate typing and strong attention to detail.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of patient results accurately and promptly.
• Print and distribute daily worksheets for technical staff.
• Use laboratory systems to enter test results.
• Ensure test results are stored in correct locations.
• Call clients with test results when necessary.
• Order supplies for the department as needed.
• Carry out other administrative tasks as required.

Position

Labcorp is seeking a Data Entry Operator to join our team in RTP, NC.

Work Schedule: First Shift, Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of patient’s results in a timely and accurate manner
• Print out and distribute daily worksheets for technical staff
• Use various laboratory systems to enter test results
• Ensure test results are stored in their proper location
• Call client with test results when necessary
• Order supplies for the department when need
• Other administrative and clericals tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience

Additional Job Standards

• Strong data entry and typing skills
• Proficient with computers
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
