Job summary

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering in Plano, TX. You will lead design and implementation of an enterprise-wide data platform powering analytics and AI, with a focus on secure, scalable data ingestion and governance.

You will manage a team of 6+ engineers, collaborate with product and data science teams, and drive cloud-native architecture across AWS, Snowflake, and related technologies to deliver trusted data for global Toyota entities.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in data engineering and leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale data acquisition (CDC, APIs, file transfer).
• Cloud-based lake/lakehouse architectures (AWS, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Strong programming skills (Python or Java) and APIs/microservices.
• Able to design scalable, governed data platforms and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a modern, scalable data platform ingesting data from internal and external sources.
• Build production-grade pipelines and self-service tools for data engineers.
• Architect cloud-native lake/lakehouse solutions and multi-tenant capabilities.
• Collaborate with business, product, data architecture, and platform teams.
• Define data engineering best practices, governance, and data contracts.
