Job summary

Oak View Group is hiring a Sr. Manager, Data Engineering based in Denver, CO. You will lead the development of our data platform, architect Azure data pipelines, and manage a small team to deliver scalable analytics.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Data & Analytics, you will drive data strategy, ensure data quality and security, and partner with stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions across our global operations. The role includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 4–6+ years of data engineering experience.
• Ability to manage a small team while remaining hands-on.
• Proficient in data engineering tools, ETL processes, APIs, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services to build scalable data solutions.
• Collaborates with analytics, BI and IT to align data solutions with goals.
• Experience with governance, security practices, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize data pipelines, databases, and analytics on Azure to support BI, data science, and operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of 1–3 data engineers, guiding delivery and career growth.
• Own the data engineering roadmap; prioritize integrations, enhancements, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver business-driven solutions.
• Implement and scale agile data engineering practices to adapt to change.
• Promote data-driven decisions, ensure data quality, governance, and security.
• Establish best practices for code quality, data modeling, testing, and deployment.
• Manage relationships with external partners to integrate services into the data platform.
