Job summary

Rhino + Jetty is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a small team and own our data platform. You will supervise three data engineers and analysts, set technical standards, and contribute hands-on coding about 60/40 split between engineering and leadership.

You will own the data warehouse to dashboards and external reporting, drive architecture choices with the CTO, and enable a self-service analytics culture while ensuring governance and data quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and owning production data pipelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading a small data team as a player-coach.
• Background in fintech or insurtech with financial reporting experience.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet data needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a nimble, high-impact data team of three, including engineers and analysts.
• Own the entire data pipeline from warehouse to dashboards and external reporting.
• Drive data infrastructure decisions and vendor selections with the CTO.
• Partner with Risk to build actuarial and bordereau reports.
• Consolidate siloed analyses into unified reporting standards.
• Enable self-service analytics while ensuring data governance and quality.
• Collaborate with CTO and teams to own the data roadmap.
