Responsibilities

• Own data strategy and architecture, guiding reporting, analytics, AI/ML, and operations.
• Architect end-to-end data warehousing solutions and integrate diverse sources.
• Set standards for dimensional modeling, pipeline design, and engineering best practices.
• Optimize cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) for scale, cost and reliability.
• Design and maintain scalable ELT frameworks and data pipelines.
• Direct and develop Data Engineers and Senior Data Engineers; mentor and coach.
• Establish scalable data governance with data quality, lineage, and access controls.
• Ensure FERPA/GDPR compliance within higher education data environments.
• Partner with engineering, learning, XR, and campus stakeholders to align on data strategy.
• Lead discovery with stakeholders and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Oversee service delivery and stakeholder engagement for high-impact data support.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, for adoption.
