Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Data Engineer to advance analytics and data management for Protection and Controls (P&C). You will collaborate with IT and other teams to design systems that ingest, process, and store P&C data, supporting engineering and operations tools, while improving data quality and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with data pipeline and data integration tools.
• Experience with database technologies.
• Knowledge of or experience with utility industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze protection system records to ensure they are maintained to NERC/NPCC/ISO NE standards.
• Define P&C data requirements to support scalable data pipelines.
• Build and maintain P&C data infrastructure and databases.
• Monitor and optimize data quality for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate to ensure reports use a consistent P&C data source.
• Identify and remediate root causes of data issues.
• Develop and maintain tools translating P&C logic into code.
• Create datasets and use PowerBI to visualize engineering data.
