Data Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required)

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support a Federal Agency customer. This position requires an ACTIVE TOP-SECRET security clearance and the ability to work onsite in the DC metro area. A hybrid schedule may be available with customer approval.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will:

• Perform data access analysis and develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation.
• Work in a data warehouse environment, including data design, database architecture, and metadata repository creation.
• Translate business needs into long-term architectural solutions.
• Define, design, and build dimensional and relational databases.
• Develop data warehousing blueprints, evaluate hardware and software platforms, and integrate systems.
• Review and develop object and data models to improve data management and access.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with SQL, including advanced queries
• Experience with Databricks in AWS
• Experience with Data Warehousing / Data Lakes is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work, including sitting up to 8 hours per day.
• May require lifting up to 5 pounds.
• Fine motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with vision.
• Communication skills suitable for in-person, video, and phone interactions.
• Work may be performed in an office environment with frequent staff and public contact, and can be stressful at times.
