Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a Data Modeling Engineer for the Supply Chain data platform. You will design, build, and maintain core data models in Databricks, ingest and transform ET data, and contribute to web applications and self-serve analytics that drive decisions across the supply chain.

You will implement business logic, data quality rules, and data contracts while collaborating with ERP and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production data pipelines and data models.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse platforms.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS, ECS).
• Familiarity with Git-based CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core supply chain data models in Databricks.
• Apply business logic and data quality rules to produce trusted data assets.
• Develop self-serve data products and semantic layers for analysts.
• Support AWS-hosted web apps surfacing dashboards and KPIs.
• Collaborate to define data contracts and data modeling standards.
