Job summary

Amazon MGM Studios in Los Angeles is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Studios Analytics team. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and models powering content performance reporting for title-level launch KPIs, working closely with analytics, product, and finance to deliver trusted datasets.

This hands-on role drives data governance, quality, and self-service access for analysts, enabling faster, more reliable decision‑making as Amazon scales its content portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics with ETL/ELT
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience in building analytic or scientific data products or solutions
• Experience building data pipelines or automated ETL processes
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
• Experience working with data warehousing, data quality

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and own data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data models for content performance datasets serving as the source of truth for title-level launch KPIs
• Own ongoing data quality, monitoring, and SLAs for datasets to ensure accurate, timely reporting
• Take single-threaded ownership of data behind content performance products to enable independent changes
• Partner with BIEs, product development, and finance to deliver integrated title-level and portfolio-level data
• Consume upstream governed data and uphold metric governance for consistent definitions across Prime Video
• Automate manual and ad-hoc data processes and build tooling for lineage, quality, and discoverability
• Contribute to design reviews, data modeling decisions, and technical trade-offs
• Enable self-service access to underlying content data for analysts and BIEs
