Job summary

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking aData Engineer to join LA-based Studios Analytics, building end-to-end data pipelines and data models powering content performance reporting.

You will own foundational datasets, enforce governance, and automate processes, enabling self-service access for analysts and BIEs across the Prime Video platform. This role emphasizes collaboration with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, IS, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using ETL/ELT.
• Python scripting and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience in building analytic data products or solutions.
• Experience building data pipelines or automated ETL processes; knowledge of distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and own data pipelines for content performance datasets.
• Own data quality, monitoring, and SLAs for datasets used in reporting.
• Take ownership of data behind data products to enable independent delivery of changes.
• Partner with BIEs, product development, and finance to deliver integrated data.
• Consume upstream governed data, uphold metric governance for consistency.
• Automate manual data processes and build tooling for lineage and discoverability.
• Contribute to data modeling decisions and design reviews.
• Enable self-service access to underlying content data for analysts.
