Job summary

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Data Engineer to join the LA-based Studios Analytics team. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and models powering content performance reporting for title-level launch KPIs, partnering with BI engineers, product, and finance teams.

You will ensure data quality, governance, and self-service access while delivering scalable, maintainable data products to Studios leadership. This role sits within Prime Video Finance Analytics and reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or foreign equivalent.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI using ETL/ELT.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL.
• Experience in building analytic or scientific data products or solutions.
• Experience building data pipelines or automated ETL processes.
• Knowledge of distributed systems for data storage and compute.
• Experience with data warehousing and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and own data pipelines and data models for content performance datasets.
• Own data quality, monitoring, and SLAs; ensure trusted, timely reporting.
• Take ownership of data behind content performance products for independent delivery.
• Partner with BIEs, product development, and finance reporting to deliver integrated data.
• Consume upstream governed data and uphold metric governance for consistency.
• Automate manual data processes, build tooling for lineage, quality, and discoverability.
• Contribute to design reviews and data modeling decisions for maintainable solutions.
• Enable self-service access to underlying content data for analysts.
