Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking an experienced data engineer to drive DBT-based ELT across enterprise data layers in the US. You will design staging/core/mart models and ensure quality and performance in Snowflake environments, collaborating with analytics and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes standards, modular design, testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, guiding junior developers and delivering reliable data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in modern ELT / transformation engineering.
• Standards for DBT project design, modular modelling, testing, documentation.
• Proven ability to lead conformed Silver layer models across Policy, Claims, Billing and shared dimensions.
• Strong experience integrating DBT with Databricks / Delta Lake, orchestration tools, version control and automated quality checks.
• Able to guide developer productivity, code review standards, reusability, performance tuning and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement staging, core, and mart layers using standard dbt patterns.

• Implement snapshots, seeds, macros, and reusable components where appropriate.

• Work with functional teams to ensure functional equivalence between legacy Informatica outputs and new dbt outputs.
• Participate in performance tuning of dbt models and Snowflake queries.
• Integrate dbt with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for automated runs and validations.
• Contribute to documentation of dbt models, data lineage, and business rules.
• Participate in defect analysis, bug fixes, and enhancements during migration and stabilization phases.

• Proven ability to lead development of conformed Silver layer models across Policy, Claims, Billing, and shared dimensions / reference domains.
• Strong experience integrating DBT with Databricks / Delta Lake, orchestration tools, version control, and automated quality checks.
• Able to guide developer productivity, code review standards, reusability, performance tuning, and traceability from mapping to model implementation.
