Job summary

Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool is seeking an experienced data engineer to design and maintain a centralized data environment in Centennial, CO. This onsite role will drive a RMIS implementation and ensure reliable data pipelines and integrations across internal and external systems.

You will build ETL/ELT processes, data models, governance standards, and documentation, while leading data migration and validation activities to ensure high-quality data for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or data integration.
• Experience with relational databases, data modeling, migrations, and optimizations.
• Experience with financial or complex operational data.
• Ability to work with business partners across departments.
• Hands-on experience building data integrations, data pipelines, and automated data transfers using APIs, SQL, scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CSDSIP’s centralized data environment and supporting architecture.
• Build ETL/ELT processes to collect, transform, and integrate data from internal and external systems.
• Create and maintain data models, data structures, and data governance standards.
• Document data sources, transformations, integrations, dependencies, data lineage, and processes.
• Implement data validation and quality controls with data dictionaries and MDM practices.
