Job summary

HireArt is hiring a Data Engineer - PSQA in Foster City, CA for a full-time, onsite contract position. You will design data pipelines, build dashboards, and deliver reporting tools to improve software quality reporting and release visibility.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills for querying, aggregation, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with Python, including Pandas and/or PySpark for data transformation and ETL development.
• Experience building dashboards using BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience modeling release and version data for historical reporting and trend analysis.
• Understanding of statistics, exploratory data analysis, and notebook-based workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Expected compensation: 39.45 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Data Engineer - PSQA to build scalable data solutions that improve software quality reporting and release visibility.

In this role, you'll design and develop data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into product software quality and release health. You'll partner with Product Software Quality Assurance (PSQA) and cross-functional teams to transform complex release and quality data into meaningful metrics that drive informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate has strong data engineering and analytics skills, enjoys solving complex data challenges, and is passionate about building scalable solutions that improve product quality and engineering efficiency.

As a Data Engineer - PSQA, You'll

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and scorecards that track software quality and release metrics.
• Query, aggregate, and transform release and version data using SQL and Python.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines that consolidate and simplify quality and release data from multiple sources.
• Model release and version data to support historical reporting, trend analysis, and quality tracking.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, surface insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with PSQA and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Own assigned data engineering deliverables from development through implementation and issue resolution.
• Document data models, pipeline architecture, and dashboard definitions to support long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT
• Experience supporting software quality assurance, release engineering, or software quality metrics
